I
have been around photography for the majority of my life.
Growing up in a military family, we
traveled around the world. To preserve these special memories my
father was constantly "snapping shots".
As an adult I now cherish
the slides and pictures of my childhood adventures. Like my father,
I also had an interest in preserving memories.
I received my first professional camera as
a high school graduation gift from my parents. Although I pursued a
life in the corporate world after college, my interest in the art of
photography continued.
My father planned to establish himself as a professional
photographer upon retiring from the corporate world. However, he was
unable to realize his dream before his unexpected death in 2000.
After his death, I became the caretaker of his treasured photography
equipment and began to revisit my longtime hobby.
When my position in the corporate arena
ended, I saw an opportunity to continue my father's dream, and carry
on his legacy of preserving memories. I now help not only my
family, but also many others to preserve the momentous occasions in
their lives.
